“I came here to discuss the security situation focusing on Iran’s entrenchment in Syria and in order to thank all those who were involved in the precise and successful effort to expose the mines 10 days ago near the border and in the attack that was carried out afterward in Syria against Iranian and Syrian targets,” he said referring the IDF uncovering several explosive devices near Israel's border with Syria and subsequent airstrikes that killed at least 19 pro-Iran militia fighters in eastern Syria. U.S. Supreme Court weighs Trump bid to bar illegal immigrants from census totals

(Worthy News) – The Supreme Court on Monday is set to take up President Donald Trump’s unprecedented and contentious effort to exclude illegal immigrants from the population totals used to allocate U.S. House of Representatives districts to states.

The challengers to Trump’s July directive include various states led by New York, cities, counties and immigrant rights groups. They have argued that the Republican president’s move could leave several million people uncounted and cause California, Texas, and New Jersey to lose House seats, which are based on a state’s population count in the decennial census.

The court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority including three justices appointed by Trump, is scheduled to hear an 80-minute oral argument by teleconference. [ Source: ..

(Worthy News) – White House adviser Jared Kushner will travel to Saudi Arabia this week, in an apparent last-ditch effort to broker a normalization deal between the kingdom and Israel, according to a report on Sunday.
Kushner will meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Neom — the Red Sea city where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week held a secret rendezvous with the prince, alongside US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
It was the first known visit to Saudi Arabia by an Israeli leader, but the talks on Iran and possible normalization reportedly yielded no substantial progress. [ Source: Times of Israel (Read More…) ]

Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturns judge’s ruling raising constitutional questions about election

Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturns judge's ruling raising constitutional questions about election Sunday, November 29, 2020 | Tag Cloud Tags: GOP, News, Republican, Supreme Court, Worthy News
(Worthy News) – The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has delivered another blow to GOP election integrity challenges, overturning a state judge's ruling blocking the certification of the state's vote tally.
In a decision Saturday night, the state's high court also dismissed with prejudice the lawsuit brought by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly and other Pennsylvania Republicans who claimed a state law, Act 77, that made changes to mail-in voting violated the state constitution.
The justices unanimously ruled the challenge had been filed a year after the law and thus was too late. “Upon consideration of the parties’ filings in Commonwealth Court, we hereby dismiss the petition for review with prejudice based upon Petitioners’ failure to file their facial constitutional challenge in a timely man..

(Worthy News) – The International Air Transport Association said Saturday that the COVID passport could be key to saving the tourism industry.
“Testing is the first key to enable international travel without quarantine measures. The second key is the global information infrastructure needed to securely manage, share and verify test data matched with traveler identities in compliance with border control requirements,” association CEO Alexandre de Juniac, said in a statement obtained by The Hill.
For travelers who receive the vaccine – when one becomes available – proof will be linked to their official passports. While no country now requires such proof, industry experts say that's likely coming. [ Source: Just the News (Read More…) ]

(Worthy News) – Teams from Britain and the European Union resumed face-to-face talks on a post-Brexit trade deal Saturday, with both sides sounding gloomy about striking an agreement in the little time that remains.
EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier returned to London to meet his U.K. counterpart David Frost. Talks have been held virtually for the past week as Barnier completed a spell of self-isolation after a member of his team tested positive for the coronavirus.
COVID-19 is just one complication in negotiations that remain snagged over key issues including fishing rights and fair-competition rules. Barnier said Friday that the remote talks had made little progress and the “same significant divergences persist.” [ Source: Washington Times (Read ..

By Stefan J. Bos, Special Correspondent Worthy News
(Worthy News) – Iran made clear Sunday it was considering attacking Israel’s port city of Haifa to avenge the killing of its top nuclear scientist.
The hardline Iranian Kayhan newspaper, a mouthpiece of the Islamic government, suggested that any assault be carried out in a way that destroys facilities and “also causes heavy human casualties.”
An opinion piece urged Iran’s leadership to target Haifa if Israel carried out the killing of the scientist who founded the Islamic Republic’s military nuclear program in the early 2000s.
“Undoubtedly, Iran will give a calculated and decisive answer to the criminals who took Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh from the Iranian nation,” added Kamal Kharrazi, a top adviser to Iran’s supreme leader.
Western and Israeli governments long suspected..
